Water and you

I have been thinking more and more about a question asked of me last week about why i support Nikken so stongly. It has required some thought to understand my reasoning. I will post it over the next few days.
My first reason is the water.
While many people fail to keep up with science research I am a regular reader in areas of Medicine, Complimentary and Alternative medicine CAM), Quantum Physics research, and Conciousness research, ETC. While many researchers and writers fail to do much cross disciplinary research, it occurs to me that much of the research being done is looking at the same issues from different directions.
A constant thorn in the side of many health professionals is that Homeopathy works often enough to not be explainable by the placebo affect. Another is the placebo effect itself.
Quantum physics and Conciousness research both have responses to this issue that are not only logical but intuitive based on real world experience.
Homeopathy uses the memory of liquids to carry a "principle of similars" to assist in the rearrangment of an imbalnce in a persons life force. Strangely enough it works well enough that such credible people as the English royal family use and support homeopathy. How does this relate to Nikken PiMag water.
Easy:
Water seems to carry and extrordinary range of ecosocial experiences with it. We speak of water being flat, and numerous other adjectives which I am sure will come to mind. Now some of these are based on wether or not the water is aerated or not, has a hi or low mineral content, whether it has been sitting or running, and there are many other variables. However water also seems to hold some non measurable qualities.
For instances why does running water seem to taste better if it has been in the sunlight. If we believe in the "Principle of similars" water retains a memory of it's experience. If it has been treated with toxic chemicals, poisoned and filtered it may now be safe for us to drink but is it the best quality that we can drink or is it just safe.
Having been a water treatment plant operator, I absolutely believe that your tap water is safe, (in most places) and is better for you that tank water. Because of the removal of the vast majority of toxins in Rain and surface water. However it still retains a number of chemicals that I believe we should not ingest.
If treated with chlorine, it will not only contains chlorine it will contain the chlorinated dead bodies of any organics pathogens killed by the chlorine after it leaves the treatment plant. These Tri-halomethanes along with other chemicals are not natural nor is your body adapted to deal with them.
Our bodies also developed to drink mineralised water. So I do not support the idea of drinking excessively filtered or treated water. I believe, and there is scientific evidence to show that, distilled water while safe is not the best possible water for us to drink. This is a debate that has raged for decades and will probably continue to do so in the future. My response is that while there is evidence for and against, our bodies developed to drink mineralised surface water.
There never has been, to my knowledge, any evidence found of pure distilled water existing in nature.
So there are 3 seperate issues.
Fluid memory, Toxin removal and reminerelisation. In terms of cost and ease of use I believe that Nikken has developed the most cost effective response to these three issues.
The PiMag water system filters the undesirable elements from the water, remineralises the water and uses magnetic fields to remove the waters "memory."
Try one. I did and the water tasted so much better that after 25 years of laughing at the idea I finally bought a water filter.
Besides I just like the taste and am now experience less illness in my life that prior to meeting Nikken

Sick of being sick??

Ok! Here is an answer to a question I was asked.
If being healthy is so easy why are so many people sick? There is an easy answer! It is because most people live accidently rather than intentionally?
By that I mean that most people never bother to find out anything about themselves, their bodies, their history and their mental, social and physical requirements. As a result they try to live based on social myths and misinformation based on spurious claims and research rather than choosing from a place of knowledge.
A simple example of this is the fact that wheat now supplies up to approxiamately 20% of the energy requirements of some 60 countries. Now while this is great for a small percentage of the population a large number of us are starting to ingest chemicals at levels that our bodies cannot handle.
Gluten is a great example because almost everyone knows someone who has a negative gluten reaction. These reactions can range from Gluten Allergy which can have fatal outcomes through gluten intolerance all the way to simple dose responses. Symptons can range from anemia and asthma, caused by deficiency's associated with poor nutrient uptake, all the way to stomache cramps,
diarrhoea and bleeding and on to anaphalactic shock and death.
Now, I am not a therapist, but I know a pretty easy answer to all of these problems. People are eating chemicals at a level that is not sustainable by our bodies.
We were never designed/evolved, to eat grains and seed 365 days per year, 3-4 times per day.
Our major energy and nutrint requirements are supposed to come from plant foliage (Greens) and other plant materials and a percentage from animal protien. You might try reading some of Loren Cordain's research at http://www.beyondveg.com/cat/paleodiet/index.shtml
it is some very interesting reading especially in terms of quality of diet.
Historically we had no way to finely grind/mill flour. and we certainly could not seperate wheatgerm from other parts of the seed. We also did not have extremely effective ways of storing grains nor could it be transported from another part of the world where it was currently growing. This meant that historically wheat, and other grains, played a much less important role in our diets.
This should not be taken to mean that I encourage grain free diets. Only that we need to understand ourselves and our bodies and choose from a place of power rather than ignorance. We must remember that an absence of disease is not the presence of health and educate ourselves accordingly.
If you have any questions about this or any other post, feel free to post a comment and I will try to answer it!
Love and blessing

Sleep and Back pain.

Wow. Just woke up easy and free. I guess many of you may not realize just how precious a good nights sleep is. I have had a lot of fun over the years but this has meant a few back injuries that kept me in constant pain. I always woke up with a headache. These ranged from pain to a migraine which stopped me doing anything. Back pain somewhere between could not move and a sore back. And light sensitive to the point of not being able to move. What a fun life. Then I met a lady who introduced me to Nikken.
I was a complete sceptic at first and only saw an opportunity to make money. As a health professional I saw little value in it, including the nutritionals. I did try out some of the shoe inserts which did help but could not see further than that.
As a part of our tax plan we bought a wellness home as a tax write-off. Strangely over the next three months my back pain, headaches and light sensitivity disappeared. Nikken has been the only change in my life.
It is now nine months since I woke regularly with back pain and headaches, for this I blame my nikken sleep system. I also am no longer light sensitive or depressed.
As a person with a science back ground I am still looking for a good scientific reason why Nikken works, but my advice would be try it. There is a money back guarantee and if you have your own business there might be tax benefits.
I still get occasional headaches but that is usually after a late night rather than all the time. You can look at the Nikken systems and products at http://www.enikken.com.au/oasisliving/ If you are interested feel free to send me an email.

I really love the World Health Organization (WHO), definition of health which states that "health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity"
If we look at it this way we can start to get a handle on health as a positive powerful factor in our lives. And it is something that we can work at to advance, improve and mold on an ongoing basis.
My personal feelings about health are that it is like an investment account and we can deposit or withdraw at will.
Some people just keep withdrawing from their account until they are bankrupt and die. Some people invest in their health ongoingly, personally this means never watching negative or nasty TV or reading newspapers, with exercise or diet. Once we have a healthy balance, we can use some of our health investment to go on holidays and have a binge. But we should never overdraw our account, that is becoming sick, and should be avoided.
There are four areas where we can invest in our health; Mind, Body, Family and society. As we build healthy baklances in each of those areas, our lives and those of our community improve. The question becomes how wealthy do you wish to be.

Sleep research

Well finally, Some intelligent research. Check this out
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/07/070702145152.htm
Sleep is so important to use that deprived of it we die in fairly short order. For years I have been putting the message out there that we need more and better quality sleep.
Unfortunately doctors know little or nothing about sleep and usually just prescribe a sleeping pill, Yeeuuch!
Research has found that even people who sleep few hours a night still need the same amount of sleep as the rest of use. They have just learned to be relatively functional with a chronic sleep debt.
Interestingly sleep debt is also associated with overweight, depression, metabolic disorders, digestive disorders and a host of other sickness issues.
I think the moral of the story is that to stay ahead of the crowd all you really need is some balance

Mixed messages

I recently had a conversation with a friend of mine who is dieting to lose weight. She described to me how she manages all of her food intake and avoids fatty food. She drinks protein shakes and lots of fruit and vegatables. And she has managed to stay relatively thin.
But here is the thing. Her skin is dry and itchy. She has skin issues such as blackheads and other acne, sometimes quite serious. Her hair is all dry and breaks easily. Regular haircuts to control split ends. Soft easily broken fingernails and poor circulation in her feet. Always cold and finds it difficult to concentrate. When she asked my what I thought, she was horrified that I would say it sounded like not enough unrefined fats in her diet.
The brain is around 60% fat, roughly. If you dont get enough unrefined fats in your diet guess what happens. You use lots of lipids (Fats) to build and maintain your brain, especially Omega 3's. The underlying cells of your skin also use fats to maintain health.
So my best advice is do not avoid foods such as avocado and nuts and seeds. Feel free to eat pasture feed beef and mutton (Never grain fed). Just keep it in balance for a healthy life.
